
This photo was taken at the Tokyo Daibutsu, capturing the statue of Hotei through the green foliage. By composing the shot to make it look as though Hotei is peeking out from between the leaves, I sought to convey both the lush natural surroundings of the temple grounds and the statue’s commanding presence.
