I took this photo at the Mashiko sunflower field after spotting a sunflower with a beautiful shape; I shot it from a position slightly to the front and to the side. By shooting at a slight angle rather than directly from the front, I was able to convey the three-dimensionality of the petals and the flower itself, creating a striking image that captures the sunflower’s beauty.
