Spring flower spots to enjoy together with Ichikai-cho Shiba-zakura Park

Hana's Crystal Lake is an artificial lake that was built to provide a stable supply of agricultural water to the Haga Plateau, and was completed in 2000. The name "Crystal Lake" comes from the initials of Haga and Nasu counties, as well as from its octagonal shape. Surrounded by a peaceful rural landscape, the lake offers visitors the chance to enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature in each of the four seasons. Especially in spring, cherry blossoms bloom along the lakeside, and visitors can enjoy a relaxing cherry blossom viewing and strolling in a tranquil atmosphere. It is also recommended to visit Ichikai-machi Shiba-zakura Park, which is adjacent to the lake, to enjoy the spring flowers all at once. It is not a flashy sightseeing spot, but it is a place where one can quietly experience the season.

Key points for photography

The key to photography is to capture the atmosphere of nature as it is through simple composition. Since most landscapes are wide open, composing the photo with an awareness of the balance between the sky, water surface, and surrounding trees will create a calm and serene impression. In springtime, cherry blossoms are the main subject, and when combined with the lake and the sky, a picture with a sense of the season can be expressed. In addition to when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, we also recommend when they have begun to fall slightly to create a softer atmosphere.
