A spectacular view of Saitama's typical green scenery encountered on the Sayama Tea Field and Chasho Dori Street
The Sayama Tea Field and Chasato Street is an area in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture, where visitors can enjoy the scenery of Sayama tea plantations. Chasato Dori is known as a single road that runs through tea fields for about 6 km, with carefully prepared tea fields spreading out on both sides of the road. Iruma City is one of the main producers of Sayama tea, and the surrounding area is dotted with beautiful scenery of tea fields spreading all around and gently ridged lines.
Key points for photography
The key to composition is to be aware of the lines created by the ridges of the tea plantation. Since the tea field is low and well groomed, shooting from a slightly elevated position with a wide-angle lens will beautifully show the undulation and depth of the ridges. When shooting from along a road, position the photo so that the line of the tea field continues to the back of the picture, which naturally draws the viewer's eye into the scene.
