Gunma's famous wisteria blooming like a waterfall and flowing beautifully
KUROSAWA Wisteria Garden (Niagara Wisteria Garden) is located in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, and is famous for its wisteria flowers. As the name suggests, the long drooping wisteria flowers look like Niagara Falls, and the whole area is covered in a soft purple color when the flowers are at their best. The flowers that cascade down from the wisteria trellises are gorgeous, and are popular as one of the most representative flower scenes in Gunma in spring.
Key points for photography
The key to photographing wisteria is how to show its length and density. If you take a wide-angle shot of the entire wisteria trellis, it will be easier to express the sense of scale of the cascade of flowers. On the other hand, if you get a little closer, you can emphasize the delicacy of the overlapping clusters of wisteria and the soft colors of the flowers.
