This photo was taken from near the observatory with an eye to the placement of the azaleas in a mortar shape, trying to create depth. At Shiobune Kannon-ji Temple in spring, the azaleas surrounding the central Kannon Hall are spectacular. Whether you look up from below or down from above, you can appreciate their beauty.
