This photo was taken from inside a plum grove, looking out over the entire area. The view spreading out between the trees gives this picture a sense of depth. At the Yugawara Plum Grove, approximately 4,000 plum trees adorn the slopes of the mountain during the Plum Festival, and the red and white flowers spreading all over the area herald the arrival of spring. The pleasant scent of ume (plum blossoms) wafts through the air, creating a beautiful scene that reminds one of the changing of the seasons.
