This photograph combines the irises at Koishikawa Korakuen Garden with the traditional Japanese architecture in the background. By focusing on the flowers in the foreground and blurring the background, I aimed to express a sense of depth and tranquility. Located in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward, Koishikawa Korakuen Garden is a historic strolling-style Japanese garden constructed by the Mito Tokugawa family in the early Edo period. Despite its central location, it is renowned as a scenic spot where visitors can experience the changing seasons up close amidst its rich natural landscape. In spring, cherry blossoms blooming along the pond and in the woods gently color the garden, delighting visitors with weeping cherry trees and Somei-Yoshino varieties. By early summer, the irises reach their peak, creating a charming scene as the cool, swaying flowers grace the water's edge.
