This photograph was taken at Hisuizu Shrine, focusing on a single plaque within the blue wind chime display and shot from above. The composition, drawing the viewer's gaze directly to the focal point, makes for a striking image. If you visit Iwatsuki in summer, be sure to see the limited-time wind chime display at Hisuizu Shrine, the chief guardian shrine of Musashi Province Iwatsuki.Multiple wind chime zones are scattered throughout the shrine grounds. Red and blue wind chimes are neatly hung, separated by color, and play a cool melody when the wind catches them. The atmosphere of each display area differs, making it striking how the same wind chimes can show completely different expressions depending on their location. The red wind chimes glow warmly in the dappled sunlight, beautifully harmonizing with the vermilion-lacquered shrine buildings and the greenery of the grounds to create a vibrant summer scene. In contrast, the blue wind chimes, with their translucent glass, softly shimmer when light hits them, radiating a quiet calm that instantly cools the viewer's heart. Considering compositions that make the most of the light angles and background colors is one of the great pleasures of photography at this shrine.
