A summer photo at Kuizu Shrine, with the red wind chime glass blurred to create a fantastic effect.

In this photo, I boldly moved closer to the red wind chime display at the Kuizu Shrine to soften the overlap with the background while blurring the red of the glass. The blurring effect expresses a soft summery atmosphere. At Kyuizu Shrine, the general shrine deity of Bushu-Iwatsuki, a summer-only wind-bell display attracts visitors. Several wind-bell zones are set up on the shrine grounds, with red and blue wind-bells displayed in separate areas. The gentle sound of the wind chimes echoes throughout the precincts of the temple whenever the wind blows, creating a pleasant soundscape. The red wind chimes shine brightly in the sunlight, creating a beautiful contrast with the vermilion shrine architecture and deep greenery. Blue wind chimes, on the other hand, have a cool transparency that is appealing, and they look mysterious depending on the light. The fun part of photographing wind chimes at Kuizu Shrine is to enjoy the variations in composition, as the impression of the picture changes depending on the angle and time of day when the picture is taken.
