This photograph was taken at Todoroki Gorge, where autumn leaves stand poised against a backdrop of vivid fresh greenery, to express the contrast of colors and the overlapping of the seasons. Todoroki Gorge in Setagaya, Tokyo, is the only gorge in the 23 wards of Tokyo that is rich in nature and boasts a strong following among photography enthusiasts and walkers. In spring and early summer, when the trees are lush and green, it is like walking through a tunnel of greenery. The transparency of the leaves in the morning sunlight and the shimmering of the greenery reflected in the water are truly a series of shutterbugs. Japanese gardens, quaint bridges, and teahouses are scattered throughout the valley, making them perfect photo accents. The beauty of the greenery can be seen in the light of a sunny day, or in the cool air of a cloudy day, each of which offers a different “beauty of greenery. The easy accessibility of the area makes it a hidden urban spot where you can fully enjoy nature even in a short time. Please visit for a time to reset your camera and your mind.
