The Teru Teru bozu and Fuji design wind chimes were photographed together at the Kawasaki Daishi wind bell market to express the co-starring of uniquely Japanese motifs.

This photo was taken at the Fu-ring Market of Kawasaki Daishi, together with a wind bell with a design of a tell-tale monk and Mt. Fuji, and the composition is intended to show the co-starring of these uniquely Japanese motifs. Kawasaki Daishi, located in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, holds an annual wind-bell fair, a well-known summer tradition that attracts many visitors. About 900 kinds of wind-bells collected from all over Japan are displayed in the precincts of the temple, each with different materials, tones, and designs to delight the eyes and ears. The cool sounds made by the glass, ceramic, metal, and other materials resonate with the wind, creating an atmosphere as if the entire approach to the temple is enveloped in a cool breeze. Especially popular are the unique wind chimes with Daruma, Fuji, and animal motifs, which are visually pleasing. There are also plenty of photo-worthy spots, and the fantastic scenery created by the shadows of the hanging wind chimes is highly praised on social networking sites. The combination with the traditional main hall and five-story pagoda is also worth seeing, making this a noteworthy event in Kawasaki where you can fully enjoy the summer atmosphere.
