This photo shows the guardian dogs and hydrangea at Hakusan Shrine, which I visited at the time of the festival. Hakusan Shrine in Bunkyo Ward is a popular photo spot where seasonal flowers and the atmosphere of the shrine are in harmony. Especially during the Hydrangea Festival in early summer, hydrangeas blooming on the shrine grounds and approach to the shrine welcome visitors, and the combination with the komainu (guardian dogs), ema (votive picture tablet), and climbing flags is also very picturesque.
