This photo was taken by focusing on the hydrangea blooming at Jōshūin Temple while blurring the approach and the distant view of the sea as a background to create a three-dimensional effect. In early summer, visitors to Seishoin Temple in Kamakura enjoy the hydrangeas that line both sides of the approach to the temple. From the hill on which the path leads up to the temple, visitors can enjoy a picturesque view of the blue sea of Yuhigahama in harmony with the brightly colored flowers.
