Enjoy the Japanese garden and the expressions of the four seasons at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo

Hotel Chinzan-so Tokyo is a photographic spot surrounded by nature so rich that it is hard to believe that it is in Tokyo. The expansive Japanese garden is dotted with stone bridges, waterfalls, and waterside views, and visitors can experience the changing of the seasons just by walking through the garden. In the fresh green season, lush greenery covers the entire garden, and in the fall, colorful autumn leaves transform the landscape and make it look especially beautiful. In spring, the cherry blossoms brightly decorate the garden, and the soft light is a great place to enjoy taking pictures. In summer, the blue maples and waterside views create a cool atmosphere and make you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. In autumn, the entire garden is tinted in deep colors, creating a tranquil and serene atmosphere for photos. Early in the morning in winter, if conditions are right, you may be able to see a fantastic view called "Tokyo Sea of Clouds," a place where you can capture a special moment in time. Please note that parking is available for a fee, and that use of the Japanese Garden requires shopping or dining in the museum, so it is recommended that you check before visiting.

Key points for photography

The key to photographing the garden is to confirm the conditions in advance, since it is necessary to use the hotel (even for meals and shopping) to explore the garden. In addition, since the garden is undulating, with many three-dimensional subjects such as stone bridges, waterfalls, and bodies of water, it is recommended to use a wide angle to capture the entire landscape. During the season of fresh greenery and autumn foliage, the way the light filters through the trees will greatly change the impression, so be aware of the sunlight filtering through the trees to create an expression with depth. Also, on days when Tokyo Sea of Clouds appears, while you can aim for fantastic photos, the view changes from moment to moment, so it is best to have your composition in mind beforehand so you can concentrate on shooting.
