Akechidaira Observatory is one of the most beautiful spots in Nikko where you can enjoy the autumn leaves and Kegon Falls at the same time. As you take the ropeway up to the top, you will see Lake Chuzenji below you, enveloped in autumn leaves, and in front of it, Kegon Falls, which cascades down in a powerful torrent. In autumn, the mountains are brightly colored, contrasting beautifully with the white spray of the waterfall. The view in the clear morning air is exceptional and truly symbolizes "autumn in Nikko. This is a recommended viewing spot that is easy to stop by during a drive or sightseeing tour.
