Enjoy the seasonal scenery painted by sunflowers and lotus in Aigo no Sato
Aigo no Sato is an attractive place where visitors can encounter a series of picturesque scenery just by walking around the park with a camera in their hands. The sunflower field in summer is particularly breathtaking, with golden flowers spreading out all over the field under a blue sky, creating a scene that could be described as “summer itself. The yellow and pink flowers swaying in the wind were a sumptuous and soothing sight to enjoy. In the early morning, lotus flowers quietly blooming along the water's edge are a beautiful and magical sight in the morning light. The vast park, which is about five times the size of the Tokyo Dome, is dotted with walking paths, botanical gardens, hands-on farms and ranches, a firefly-filled creek, and wooded areas, all of which provide a space in which visitors can carefully experience nature.
Key points for photography
The key to shooting was to take advantage of the expanse of Aigo no Sato to emphasize the sense of the season by using a low angle with a large blue sky for the sunflowers and cosmos, and to aim for backlighting of the early morning lotus to let the petals show through and capture the tranquility and fantastic atmosphere of the waterfront together.
