Lighthouse

Lighthouse

Photographing lighthouses is highly recommended as a subject where the sea, sky, and man-made objects harmonize beautifully. A white tower can easily become the main subject against any background, and can be presented fresh under a blue sky or dramatically as a silhouette at sunrise or sunset. Cliffs, reefs, and waves in the foreground add to the sense of scale, while a slightly pulled-back composition enhances the perfection of the landscape photograph. The light changes dramatically depending on the time of day, so you can enjoy completely different atmospheres even in the same location. The stillness and power of the scene can be captured at the same time, making it a very rewarding subject to photograph.
