This photograph was taken at Lake Yuno using a slow shutter speed to capture the reflection of the trees along the lakeshore—which were just beginning to turn color in the fall—on the water’s surface. The long exposure softly captures the ripples on the lake, and by combining the trees’ emerging autumn colors with their reflection on the water, I sought to convey the tranquil beauty of autumn in Oku-Nikko.
