This photo was taken at a flower garden in Igano in good light, using a stepladder to get very close to the kochia. By placing the tree in the back of the photo in the center of the image and being very conscious of the horizon, the round kochia's three-dimensionality and the nature in the background come together to create an impressive image. If you visit in autumn, you cannot miss the flower fields of Igano in Gunma Prefecture. The kochia, which are at their peak of bloom, are brightly colored, and the view of the rounded grasses covering the entire field is breathtaking. Even when there are few flowers, the sight of kochia blending with nature in the clear autumn air is soothing. The overlapping scenery of mountains and trees is also ideal for photography.
