Photographing a sunflower that looks tired, head bowed

This photograph captures the weary appearance of sunflowers bowing their heads in the sunflower field at Aigo no Sato. Aigo no Sato is an experiential satoyama facility in Saitama Prefecture where visitors can enjoy flowers and nature while experiencing the changing seasons. The summer sunflower field offers a truly spectacular view, with the contrast between the sky and the flowers making it perfect for photography. In 2025, the rare sight of sunflowers and cosmos blooming simultaneously became a major talking point. Lotus flowers also bloom beautifully in the soft light of early morning, enveloped in the tranquility of the waterside. The grounds, covering an area equivalent to five Tokyo Domes, feature scattered areas packed with natural charm: walking paths, farmland, a botanical garden, a waterside with fireflies, and a petting zoo area with goats.
