This photo captures the iris garden at the rear of Myōgen-in Temple. Though not at peak bloom, the quietly blossoming flower irises were quite impressive. In early summer at Myōgen-in, hydrangeas, predominantly blue, bloom profusely throughout the grounds, creating a serene and tranquil space. In the inner garden where the irises bloom, the harmony with the greenery is beautiful, and the view seen through the round window even gives a sense that time has stopped.
