This photo captures the torii gate and cherry trees within the park from the front. Within its simple composition, I sensed something akin to the sacredness of spring. When spring arrives, Omiya Park is blanketed in cherry blossoms, presenting a scene that symbolizes spring in Saitama. The grounds, dotted with ponds, lawns, and a Japanese garden, are perfect for both strolling and photography. Particularly popular are the reflections of cherry blossoms on the water and the quintessentially Japanese scene woven by the torii gate and cherry trees. The arches formed by cherry blossoms in full bloom overhead are also a sight to behold, making upward-looking compositions especially photogenic.
