In this photo, I tried to take a picture of a well-shaped ume flower from the back side facing the ground. Soga Bairin (Soga Plum Grove) in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is known as one of the best plum groves in the Kanto region, and every year around February, the magnificent plum blossoms come into full bloom. This plum grove covers a vast area with thousands of plum trees, and the spectacle of all the flowers blooming at once is breathtaking. Visitors are among the first to feel the arrival of spring, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The plum blossoms in the Soga Plum Grove are attractive because of their lovely petals. In particular, the backs of the flowers softly show a light hue, giving them a dainty look that is slightly different from the impression seen from the front. The white and pink petals swaying in the wind are very beautiful, and when observed closely, the delicate gradation of colors and shapes are hard to resist.
