This photograph captures the weeping cherry blossoms blooming in the courtyard of Kita-in Temple. I was fortunate to visit just as they were at their peak, and the beautifully spreading branches left a strong impression. At Kita-in's Cherry Blossom Festival, visitors can enjoy both the Somei-Yoshino cherry trees coloring the temple grounds and the elegant weeping cherry blossoms.The expansive space filled with blooming Somei-Yoshino cherry trees is truly spectacular. The contrast with the blue spring sky is beautiful, making you stop and gaze in wonder. Meanwhile, the weeping cherry blossoms blooming in areas like the inner courtyard exude a gentle, serene atmosphere. Their combination with the buildings and stone pavements is also charming. It's a spot where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll or photography while admiring the cherry blossoms, offering a sense of calm amidst the bustle.
