These photos were taken at Hase-ji Temple (Kamakura), which I found to be "a healing walk in Kamakura with Jizo surrounded by fresh greenery.

This photo was taken of the lovely Jizo-san in Hase-ji Temple against a background of fresh greenery. The calm expression of the Jizo standing amidst the vivid greenery is impressive, creating a soothing image in harmony with nature. Hase-ji Temple (Kamakura) is one of the most famous places in Kamakura where you can enjoy seasonal flowers. Especially during the rainy season, hydrangeas spreading across the temple grounds brightly decorate the temple, attracting many visitors. The temple is said to have more than 2,500 hydrangea plants in full bloom, and the overwhelming volume and variety of colors are deeply impressive to all who see them. The hydrangeas, which look different each time you visit, are a perfect way to experience the changing of the seasons. Visitors can enjoy a different atmosphere at each of the hydrangea viewing spots at Hase-ji Temple. In particular, the "Viewing Path" is a must-see, and is popular as a superb spot where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Kamakura and Sagami Bay while admiring the hydrangeas. Beautiful hydrangeas are also planted near the main hall and the bell tower, leaving a special impression on visitors as the scenery blends with the architectural beauty of the historic temple.
