In this photo, I was conscious of the yin-yang of light and shadow shining into the hana-temizu. Saimyoji Temple in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, is a quiet temple known for its beautiful seasonal hana-chozu (flower arrangement). The colorful flowers floating in the water pots provide visitors with healing and tranquility, and the heartwarming scenery reminds us of the changing seasons. At times of the day when the soft morning sun illuminates the flower handbasins, the petals are bathed in light and the shining ribbons of light unite to create a fantastically beautiful scene.
